Song Review: “Burned Out” by Jasmine

London based singer/songwriter releases her debut single “Burned Out”.

TikTok star Jasmine, who’s known on the social media app for her voice and humorous personality, has just released her debut single. The track titled “Burned Out” is the first official release from the singer, who’s rapidly gaining a large following due to her TikTok videos, that feature the singer showcasing her lyrical voice in the form of her original songs. The TikToker also creates humour videos that gain views in the thousands from her relatable captions and likeable personality.

The Irish/Moroccan singer, doesn’t describe her sound as one particular genre although currently her focus is on creating R&B music. Which is evident in her single, that comes out today, featuring her husky vocals and smooth tone. The song captivates her soulful vocals and blends well with her visionary lyrics, with a personal favourite being “I’m just going through the motions, wish I could find a place that feels like home.”

Described as spontaneous and impulsive, Jasmine is a unique artist with an unwavering and interesting sense of character, who fully embraces her individuality. Comparable artists would include Yungblud, Clairo and Arlo Parks.
