Caity Baser kicked off the second date of her “Thanks for Nothing, See You Never Tour” in Bristol last Saturday.
The singer/songwriter, who gained a following through TikTok in 2020, sold out the South West’s leading music venue. SWX was packed with excited Caity Baser fans who were eager to sing along to her relatable dating mishaps.
Opening the show was, perfectly chosen, fellow TikTok star Michael Aldag. Michael’s charming, energetic stage presence mixed with the storytelling nature of his music effortlessly complimented the sold out tour.
Caity soon graced the stage in a co-ord paired with fluffy leg warmers which she flaunted (rightfully so) as she opened with her 2022 single “Friendly Sex”.

The singer made her way through both her recent EP, “Thanks For Nothing, See You Never”, and a number of her older songs in her hour long set. The audatious singer’s bold and enthusiastic energy radiated through the venue during every song. All while captivating her passionate audience with her incredibily unwavering vocals.
Possibily the most heart warming moment of the night was during Caity’s 2022 single “Virtually”. Midway through the track an overwhelmed and tearful Caity stood back and watched the whole room echo the heartfelt lyrics of her bitter sweet break up song as bright lights filled the room.

Audience engagment was a prominate theme throughout the entire night as the Brighton based singer made every effort to interact and share moments with her devoted crowd. The night began with Caity performing with a fan’s pride flag and concluded with her climbing into the audience to share a fan’s bad dating story. All before she finished the set with her own, much anticipated, bad dating story “Pretty Boys”. Which after tremendous audience demand she came out to sing for a second time for the encore.
Conclusively, as gen-Z’s answer to Lily Allen, Caity’s empowering and catchy lyrics are a refreshing take on female storytelling. In a way that doesnt take itself too seriously but consequently honours the hardships of dating and finding yourself in your “2020s”.
